The Festive Season is well and truly on us now and summer is finally here.  We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy and safe Christmas and New Year.  We hope that you find time to relax and enjoy catching up with friends and family.   

The NZ Art Guild team have worked hard over this past year and have achieved fantastic results for members, charities and the wider art community.  We would like to thank all the volunteers who have made this possible. 

PLEASE NOTE: The NZ Art Guild offices will be closed from 2pm Wed 24 Dec until 9am Tues 29th December and then again from 5pm Wed 30th December until 9am Tuesday 5th January.

"Small Packages" - NZ Art Guild Members Exhibition
 
This exhbition recently held at the Bruce Mason Centre in Auckland was a great success.  180 artworks form around NZ all the same size (25cm x 25cm) made a stunning display. In fact 6 were sold before we had even finished hanging the exhibition!


Kumeu Art in the Garden
This event was held in Kumeu, Auckland in November and was a great success. 90 artists spread throughout 6 award winning gardens made for a fantastic weekend.  50% of the artists involved sold artwork and helped raise over $10,000 for West Auckland Hospice and the Huapai Volunteer Fire Station (the first emergency response unit for the area)

Every fortnight a challenge is issued to our guild members and also to members of our facebook group. These challenges are completely voluntary. Submissions must be original and be completed during the 2-week time frame. Participants may choose to interpret the theme in any way they wish. Artist Spotlight

NZ Art Guild member, Waiheke Island sculptor Olivier Duhamel is publishing a 40 page manual telling everything one needs to know to make an amazingly realistic, life size plaster sculpture of someone’s torso (or any other body part.). This is a fun and affordable DIY art project for summer. Download it from www.bosyscape.net.nz
