Jane Bold has generously donated this stunning  artwork which will be auctioned on opening night of the NZ Art Guild's exhibition "Out of the Blue".  100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Mental Health Foundation of NZ (MHF) You can help support MHF by coming to the opening night and bidding on this fantastic artwork on the July 2nd 2009 at the Bruce Mason Centre, Takapuna Beach, Auckland.

ARTIST PROFILE:

Jane is a West Auckland Artist who paints in a bold contemporary style, often featuring “Kiwiana” images. Mainly self-taught,she has followed artistic pursuits all her life, having had several Art-based businesses.

Currently Jane is working mainly in Acrylics, and is passionate about the New Zealand countryside with its beaches and stunning scenery. With both flowing lines and contrasts of geometric shapes Jane explores the interplay of light effects, bringing works to inspire and gaze on.

ABOUT THIS ARTWORK:

The strong image of Rangitoto  overlooking the Waitemata shores is framed by swirling deep blues, with a  Koru frond  in green at the side signifying new life, peace, and strength. Silver and white lines and squares emphasize the strength of the image and contrast with the flowing lines of the koru to bring balance and inspiration.
