Lauryne Hart has generously donated this stunning artwork which will be auctioned at 3:30pm at Willows Reach, 252 Boord Cres, Kumeu, Auckland. 50% of the proceeds will be donated to Kumeu Rotary for disbursement to West Auckland Hospice and Huapi Volunteer Fire Station. ARTIST PROFILE:
Lauryne immigrated from South Africa more than a decade ago and lives on Auckland's North Shore. Being surrounded for most of her life by the grace and love of colour which the people of Africa radiate, the diversity of cultures and the ever changing landscape of her homeland, it is only natural that a love of vibrant and bold colours is evident in her art.

Lauryne finds the diversity, beauty, character, innocence and vitality of people, their struggles, love and laughter emotive which is reflected in portraits and figures of which the form and colour rather than facial expressions capture the viewers’ attention and draw them in. Her love of vibrant colour can be effectively portrayed by her favourite medium, acrylic on canvas.

Lauryne is an established artist with work in several galleries. Painting is her main focus, but her artistic talent also includes various different art forms such as textile painting and ceramics.

Lauryne has recently had a 4 page article about her painting practice, published in the Summer 2009 issue of the New Zealand BMW Magazine.
