ARTIST PROFILE:
(Landscape, Portraits, Impressionism)
Tai Ward-Holmes, a Queenstown artist was discovered by Ivan Clarke, the noted International artist and creator of 'The Lonely Dog' - in 2005. After exhibiting in his Queenstown gallery he became a resident artist at the Queenstown Art & Crafts market where he often demonstrates painting during a market day.

Ward-Holmes says, “Painting on canvas is a natural creative follow-on from my early fashion designing (using fabrics), before publishing a sports magazine, (paper) then producing a monthly sports television show (film) in Houston, Texas.  Now based in Queenstown, my passion is painting and it's this legacy that I want to leave as; 'one man’s lifetime creative journey'

Art commissions include portraits of Marcia Hines, noted Australian jazz singer; Hilton Hensman, pioneer of Queenstown Skyline Gondola; Salvi Gargulio, Headmaster of Nelson College and others. His wine and landscape commissions include Seagate Computers of California, Gibbston Valley Station and his art is in private collections in New Zealand, Europe and USA.

Tai salutes 'life' always with a refreshing sense of appreciation and celebration, thus his paintings possess a unique universal appeal and character.
