Terms and Conditions of Membership
1. Membership application criteria
1.1 NZ Art Guild membership is by application only.
1.2 NZ Art Guild Members must live in New Zealand.
1.3 NZ Art Guild members must be practicing some type of visual art-form, whether as an amateur or as a professional artist.
1.4 By joining the NZ Art Guild you accept all of NZ Art Guild Terms and conditions.
1.5 NZ Art Guild membership is subject to the above criteria and at the sole discretion of the NZ Art Guild Management. Not all applicants will be accepted.
1.6 In accordance to the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 you agree to receive emails from the NZ Art Guild.
2. General Rules and Conduct
2.1 No part of the NZ Art Guild website, including message board content, personal details or other information, can be reproduced without the consent of the author &/or managers. Failure to adhere to the privacy and confidentiality of either the NZ Art Guild site or its members may result in membership termination &/or legal action as appropriate.
2.2 NZ Art Guild Management can/may change the rules at their discretion; members will be notified of these changes.
2.3 Personal information, including member contact details, will not be sold, given or distributed to a third party without the prior consent of the member/s involved.
3. Message Board Conduct
3.1 Misuse of the message boards may result in your message board privileges being suspended or revoked.
3.2 Personal attacks on another member will not be tolerated and may result in your message board privileges being suspended or revoked.
3.3 If a member has an issue with any post/thread/member on the message board forum then they direct these concerns confidentially to management.
3.4 (as per phpbb forum rules and regulations)
Rude language/comments etc is not banned from the message board however you agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned and your service provider being informed. The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions
3.5 NZ Art Guild management can permanently terminate or suspend a member’s access to the message board forum/s, or parts thereof, at their discretion. They also have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should they see fit.
3.6 NZ Art Guild message boards are spam-free; any unsolicited advertising will be removed.
3.7 The administrators and moderators will attempt to remove or edit objectionable material as quickly as possible; however it is impossible to review every message. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable .
3.8 Any information you have entered into our forum is stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent the NZ Art Guild cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.
4. Website Listings
4.1 All NZ Art Guild members are eligible for free promotion of their art profiles and websites on the NZ Art Guild website under the artist directory.
4.2 All NZ Art Guild members are able to list their exhibitions on the event page free.
4.3 Cancellation/deletion/subscription in arrears will result in the removal of your profile/exhibition details from the website, members’ forum and deletion of membership.
5. Guild participation
5.1 Participation in the NZ Art Guild and/or a NZ Art Guild project, activity, exhibition, event or challenge etc is on a non-compulsory basis.
5.2 Any artworks, products, materials, labour etc which are given to, or done for the NZ Art Guild on a volunteer/donation basis, remain the property of the NZ Art Guild on a non-payment, non-returnable basis.
5.3 Full terms and conditions will be sent to members upon application to participate in the collaborative projects
6. Dedicated Exhibition Venues
6.1 Current members are able to apply for exhibition spaces at the dedicated exhibition venues. A selection process applies.
6.2 Exhibitions will be subject to additional booking costs & rules.

7. Guild Exhibitions
7.1 Current members are able to exhibit at our Group NZ Art Guild exhibitions.
7.2 Exhibitions will be subject to additional costs & rules.
7.3 Full terms and conditions will be sent to members upon application for the exhibition.
8. Subscriptions
8.1 Membership subscriptions are as follows and are payable in advance by monthly automatic payment:
- Basic membership: $9 per month plus $11.25 set up fee
- Standard Membership: $15 per month plus $33.75 set up fee
- Premier Membership: $33.75 per month plus set up fee $618.75 * this is based on the basic website package.
8.2 Subscription fees are subject to change and members will be notified accordingl y
8.3 Subscription payments are non refundable unless your initial application is unsuccessful in which case you will be notified within 30 days and a full refund given.
8.4 If you wish to cancel your subscription you must give one months notice in writing (email is accepted).
8.5 Members with subscriptions 1 week or more in arrears will result in deletion of their membership. Should a member pay after their membership has been deleted a set up fee will apply.

All images remain the copyright of the artist and may not be copied or reproduced without the consent of the artist. The NZ Art Guild endeavours to protect intellectual property rights. Toward this end, the NZ Art Guild seeks to obtain assurances from artists, galleries, museums, dealers and individuals displaying images on or providing information to the NZ Art Guild or on the nzartguild.co.nz site that the materials and information provided by such persons and entities do not infringe any third party's rights. In addition, the NZ Art Guild has the right to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts or subscriptions of any users of the artfind.co.nz site who infringe any third party proprietary rights, whether on a single instance or repeatedly.
2. Accuracy of information
While every endeavour has been made to supply accurate information on this site, errors and omissions may occur. Accordingly, the NZ Art Guild does not accept any liability for any loss or damage which may directly or indirectly result from any advice, opinion, information, representation or omission, whether negligent or otherwise, contained on this site.
3. Changes to this site
Changes or updates to the content of this site may occur at any time without notice. You are bound by any such changes or updates and should therefore periodically visit this page to review the current terms and conditions to which you are bound.
4. Links
The NZ Art Guild has not reviewed all of the sites that may be linked to this site and is not responsible for the content of any off-site pages or any other sites linked to this site.
5. No liability
Your use of and browsing in this site are at your risk. None of the NZ Art Guild, any of its agencies, or any other party involved in creating, producing or delivering this site is liable for any direct, incidental, consequential, indirect or punitive damages arising out of your access to, or use of, this site.
6. Refund Policy
Subscription payments are non refundable unless your initial application is unsuccessful in which case you will be notified within 30 days and a full refund given. Refunds for items purchased through the NZ Art Guild online shop will be at the discretion of the Management.
