Title: NZ Tui's feeding on flax flowers
Media: Furnaced double glazed float glass - double glazed window/doorpanel
Size: 345mm diameter
Retails: $800
ARTIST PROFILE:
By marrying ancient technology with modern I am able to produce practical work with float glass that changes throughout the light of day whilst also filtering the light, creating privacy and warmth along with strength for use in interior or exterior space to create light wells and/or room dividers. I have produced this furnaced double glazed round unit ‘Tuis Feeding on Flax Flowers”.
I have a passion for producing work that reflects the environment or experiences of those around me. Using kiln fired and furnaced glass as my canvas I am able to change the shape, colour, and translucency in my work to produce practical art that is permanent, strong and may be used as decorative or utility ware. Enjoy it and use it…..Vivienne.
