I'm growing up!  It's taken a while, but now I feel I've earned the right to do exactly what I love ..........to paint and create after having established and sold my own ceramics business.   

My visual arts diploma hangs on the wall, but my heart and soul belongs in the studio.   I come alive in my solitary confinement the minute I enter that sacred space.  Sometimes I just sit,dream and visualise, other days I'm so absorbed in what I paint time has no meaning and dinner just has to wait.

To experiment, explore and extend one's abilities is somewhat of a privilege in this very unablanced world of ours.   I feel fortunate to be able to do so.   Currently my preference of medium is working with oils.   Glass making runs a close second and it is my intention to pursue this medium with vigour in the near future. 

My hope is the viewer may see the passion I have for art and how it is reflected in my works.   Colour is so often one of my guiding principals.  Basically I am an 'earthy' person, however occasionally I will leap out of my comfort zone and literally surprise myself.

Having been invited to exhibit my works at various venues over the last six years, I find the joy of success extremely satisfying.  2010 has begun with many sales already, so it's just onwards and upwards from here.
